Flake to Speak at Decarbonization Forum

BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU Chemical Engineering Professor John Flake will be part of a panel discussion on "Harnessing the Opportunity of the 'All of the Above' Energy Strategy to Maximize Investment and Exporting Opportunities" at the Gulf Coast Industrial Decarbonization Forum on Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at L'Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge.

BATON ROUGE, LA – LSU Chemical Engineering Professor John Flake will be part of a panel discussion on “Harnessing the Opportunity of the ‘All of the Above’ Energy Strategy to Maximize Investment and Exporting Opportunities” at the Gulf Coast Industrial Decarbonization Forum on Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at L’Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge.

Flake will be joined by Christen Campbell with BASF and Kurt Allen from Energy. The discussion will cover developing Louisiana’s existing infrastructure while embedding the benefits of innovative transitional technology, understanding sustainability investment opportunities for new project success, and creating the conditions and infrastructure to enable more effective exporting opportunities. Flake will speak specifically on sequestration, including blue hydrogen, and electrification, including using electricity for electrolytic reactions and heat.

The event is being hosted by the Energy Conference Network in partnership with the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, and the Baton Rouge Area Carbon Reduction Alliance.
