Kinesiology Student Spotlight: Caroline Hudlow
New Orleans-native Caroline Hudlow will graduate this May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Administration. Read below to learn her advice for students and why getting involved is critical to success.

Tell us about your involvement in the School of Kinesiology and on campus, as well
as your awards and achievements at LSU.
I am a member of Delta Gamma, and I also do a lot of work off campus. I am a board
member for the Baton Rouge Wheelchair Tennis Association, which hosts the Cajun Classic,
a super series tournament held in Baton Rouge every March, and the Hallowheel fundraiser
in October. I have recently been appointed to the United States Tennis Association
Wheelchair Tennis Committee for the next two years. In this role, I focus on the junior
pathway, collegiate wheelchair tennis, and marketing.
Additionally, I received the School of Kinesiology Sport Administration Premier Scholar scholarship in December 2019.
How did you choose to study Sport Administration?
I don't really have a good reason because I just have always loved sports. I wanted
to be able to have a job that didn't feel like work. I wanted to be able to get up
everyday and be excited for what I am doing.
What are you looking to pursue after you graduate?
I have accepted a job at the Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, a fitness, recreation,
sport, and research organization for people with physically disabling conditions,
and will move after graduation.
What advice do you have for your fellow students?
When teachers tell you that networking is important, they aren't kidding. You never
know who is going to help you get a job. Plus, it’s fun to meet new people!
Internships and volunteering are so important. I have learned a lot in the classroom but nothing has prepared me more than actual job experience. It doesn't have to be in Baton Rouge -- I spent two summers in Chicago learning more than I could have ever imagined.

Be passionate about what you do -- it will make you stand out!
