Dr. Fred Sheldon receives the 2021 AOS Peter R. Stettenheim Service Award!
Congratulations to Dr. Fred Sheldon, who has just received the 2021 American Ornithological Society's (AOS) Peter R. Stettenheim Service Award! This award carries on the tradition of the Cooper Honorary Member Award, one of the oldest awards in ornithology, and recognizes "an individual well established in their career and who has performed outstanding and extensive service to AOS." Dr. Sheldon has served with the AOS since 1993 and has served as the American Ornithologists' Union (AOU) Treasurer and Vice President, as well as sitting on multiple AOU committees. He also acted as the Associate Editor for The Condor, The Auk, and is currently the Associate Editor for Ornithology.
