Schneider Wins Outstanding Plant Pathologist Award - 2/2/2015
2/2/2015 - Dr. Raymond W. Schneider, Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology and Crop Physiology, received the American Phytopathological Society’s Southern Division Outstanding Plant Pathologist Award at their annual meeting in Atlanta, Ga., 1-2 February 2015. This honor is granted to a member in recognition of distinguished contributions to plant pathology. Dr. Schneider’s exceptional contributions have included many important and ground breaking research findings in the areas of host:pathogen physiology and genetics as well as new strategies in cultural, chemical and biological control of plant diseases. He also has been an outstanding mentor for many graduate students and has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses exemplarily.
