Two LSU Manship School Students Win Hearst Journalism Awards in Audio, Sports Writing Competitions
The Hearst Journalism Awards Program, known for recognizing excellence in college-level journalism, has announced its latest round of winners, and two students from LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication have reason to celebrate.

- LSU Shatters Record for Largest Spring Graduating Class, Awards 4,949 Degrees During Spring Commencement CeremoniesLSU awarded 4,949 degrees during the university's 313th commencement exercises Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18. These new LSU alumni and their hometowns can be viewed on the LSU Graduates List on the LSU Commencement Website. The previous record was 4,563 in Spring 2022.

Students were recognized and awarded medals in a ceremony on Tuesday, May 14 on the LSU campus.

- Mekkah Husamadeen represents LSU Law, National Black Law Students Association on the global stage during service trip to GhanaHusamadeen was elected to serve as NBLSA Attorney General last summer and was among five members of the NBLSA Executive Board selected for the expedition, which took place just after the first of the year.
