Silva Takes Top Honors at 2016 APS-SD Meeting
The 93th annual meeting of the American Phytopathological Society-Southern Division (APS-SD) was held 20-21 February 2016 in Balm, FL. During this meeting, a graduate student paper competition was held, and 36 graduate students from 10 universities competed. Eduardo Chagas Silva, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Plant Pathology & Crop Physiology under the supervision of Dr. Raymond W. Schneider, won first place for his presentation entitled “Two symptoms of Cercospora leaf blight of soybean: an indication of two diseases caused by the same pathogen”.
