Enroll in the New SLIS Data Curation Course Fall 2020
Dr. Seungwon Yang, Assistant Professor in the School of Library & Information Science and the Center for Computation and Technology is currently offering a new course during the Fall 2020 semester. LIS 4900 introduces the definitions, principles, and practices of data curation. Other included topics are the data curation life-cycle model and relevant technologies for data repositories. The course is ideal for the student who wishes to specialize in or maintains interest in digital content management.
About Special Topics
The School of Library & Information Science is committed to offering varied learning opportunities for students. These courses are designed to present novel information and/or in-depth discussion on topics not found in standard catalog courses. Special topic courses are typically offered once, but they may also be courses that are in a "pilot" phase before being added to the catalog.
Note: Special topics require permission of the department. They may be taken for a max. of 6 sem. hrs. of credit when topics vary.
