Tate IV to New Iberia for a tour of the Conrad Rice Mill, the oldest rice mill in America.Next up was a stop at the Cane River Pecan Pie Bar in New Iberia, owned and operated by LSU alum Jady Regard and an ideal setting for an alumni lunch. Tate IV to Winnfield to tour a logging facility and learn more about the industry with Rep. Jack McFarland. That was followed by lunch and a look at the state's rich political legacy at the Louisiana Political Museum. Next up was Fort Johnson in Vernon Parish for a briefing on training provided at the U.S. Army installation, followed by a visit to NUNU Arts & Culture Collective in Arnaudville, an educational organization dedicated to fostering a living culture using a combination of art, music, dance and Louisiana French.
