LSU Breaks Record, Awards 2,154 Degrees During Fall Commencement Ceremonies
LSU celebrated a record-breaking commencement, awarding 2,154 degrees during the university's 318th commencement exercises Thursday, Dec. 19.
BATON ROUGE –– LSU celebrated a record-breaking commencement, awarding 2,154 degrees during the university’s 318th commencement exercises on Thursday, Dec. 19.
The graduating class included 1,494 undergraduate degrees and certificates and 660 graduate degrees and certificates, with a record-breaking 545 master's degrees awarded. Among the graduates, 214 earned honors distinctions.
These graduates represent 54 Louisiana parishes, 49 states, and 40 countries. The youngest graduate was 18 years old, and the oldest was 75.
