E. J. Ourso College of Business Hosting AI Conference with Louisiana Industry Leaders and LSU Experts
BATON ROUGE – On Friday, February 21, the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business will host AI in Action: Leading in Louisiana Industries; a symposium dedicated to exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) is driving innovation in critical sectors that define Louisiana's economy.
The event will be held at the Lod Cook Hotel & Conference Center on the LSU A&M campus from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Media are invited and encouraged to attend. Andrew Schwarz, a leading AI expert and Professor in the LSU Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems, will be available to answer questions. Parking will be available in lots designated for the Lod Cook Hotel & Conference Center.
AI in Action will bring together leading voices in AI research, development, and application across diverse fields including business, public policy, education, entertainment, healthcare, and manufacturing. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Darren Haas, a pioneer in the field of AI who co-founded Siri, the groundbreaking virtual assistant acquired by Apple, and has held leadership positions at Apple, GE, and Amazon Web Services. Representatives from industries and organizations across Louisiana, including Louisiana Economic Development, Our Lady of the Lake, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Dow, b1BANK, Martin Sustainable Resources, L.L.C., and more, alongside expert faculty from LSU, will participate in moderated discussion panels and Q&A sessions with attendees.
