LSU Weekly Media Briefings

LSU will hold a weekly virtual press briefing on the university's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each week LSU administrators will be available to provide an update on the fall semester, testing protocols, positive cases among the LSU community and how the university is working through a combination of remote and on-campus learning. In addition, LSU administrators will be joined periodically by subject matter experts from the university who are studying various aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Deborah Birx, head of the national coronavirus taskforce, visited Baton Rouge on Sept. 23. She was joined by Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards and interim LSU President Tom Galligan for a media briefing following roundtable discussions with representatives from the state and higher education.

BATON ROUGE - LSU will hold a weekly virtual press briefing on the university’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each week LSU administrators are available to provide an update on the fall semester, testing protocols, positive cases among the LSU community and how the university is working through a combination of remote and on-campus learning. In addition, LSU administrators will be joined periodically by subject matter experts from the university who are studying various aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Week 3: Interim LSU President Tom Galligan and LSU Athletics Director Scott Woodward
