We Build Teams That Win: Life-saving Sepsis Test
LSU researchers teamed up with Our Lady of the Lake Health and San Francisco tech firm Cytovale to pioneer the first test to diagnose sepsis earlier and faster. Sepsis is the leading cause of death in hospitals, taking roughly 350,000 lives in the U.S. per year, with Louisiana’s sepsis mortality rates being the worst in the country. Most of these deaths are preventable, but the technology hasn’t existed until now.Read more about our world-changing research being done in Louisiana: https://www.lsu.edu/winning-teams/
