BATON ROUGE-LSU Manship School of Mass Communication first-year doctoral student Saad Zuberi, a distinguished multimedia journalist and documentary filmmaker, has been honored with the British Council's prestigious Global UK Alumni Award 2024 in the category of Culture and Creativity.

BATON ROUGE--Martin Baron, former executive editor of The Washington Post and The Boston Globe, will speak to LSU Manship School of Mass Communication students in the Journalism Building's Holliday Forum from 10:30 to 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26. He will discuss the difficulties in covering the Trump White House amid "fake news" claims, coverage of this year's presidential election and what journalists can do to regain public trust.

Baton Rouge--Kynnedi Hines, a junior studying public relations at LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication, has been selected as a recipient of the esteemed Disney UNCF Corporate Scholarship. This collaboration between Disney and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) aims to recognize and support high-achieving students across the nation.

BATON ROUGE--The Louisiana Association of Broadcasters (LAB) recognized LSU Manship School of Mass Communication junior Patricia Caputo, a Tiger TV sports reporter and co-host of The Purple Room podcast, with the LAB Broadcast Scholarship at the 2024 LAB Prestige Awards. Caputo was one of two students in the state to earn the $4,000 scholarship.
